The bands of the Knightsbridge Dual Band lift *vertically* from beneath the jaw to work with its natural rotation. (In contrast, traditional chin straps wrap around the tip of the chin, forcing the jaw backward into the joint, which can be uncomfortable and may lead to joint damage with long-term use.) Additionally, as importantly, this chin strap has two bands ... an elastic band and a non-elastic band.

This chin strap generates a vertical force and utilizes two bands to produce a compound elastic-nonelastic force, allowing the force to be minimized yet still effective in raising the jaw to reduce or eliminate mouth leaks
The mask is mostly made of cotton-blended polyester. The white strap partly contains latex, preventing it from being machine washable. Wash with warm water and mild soap, and set aside to air dry. For best results, please avoid placing in the dryer.
