The bands of the Dual Band lift *vertically* from under the jaw to work with the natural rotation of the jaw. (In contrast, traditional chin straps wrap around the tip of the chin and force the jaw backwards and into the jaw joint, which is uncomfortable and long term use can cause joint damage.) And just as importantly, this chin strap has two bands ... an elastic band and a non-elastic band.

The mask is mostly made of cotton-blended polyester. The white strap partly contains latex, preventing it from being machine washable. Wash with warm water and mild soap, and set aside to air dry. For best results, please avoid placing in the dryer.
